Beyond Burger Recipe

Let me start off by saying that I am not a Vegan but this is a vegan-friendly recipe. I absolutely love seafood and I guess you can consider me to be a pescatarian since this is the only meat I prefer. I can't remember the last time I had a beef burger over a decade ago but this had me wondering if this was truly vegan or did I misread the ingredients. So, whether you are a Meat Lover or a Vegan the Beyond Burger will make your mouth water regardless of your preference of meat or non meats.

Shout out to Carolina Ale House for my first sample of this delicious specimen of a Burgerlious yumminess. You ever be in a restaurant and taste something so Yummy that you think, man I wish this had, blank, blank, blank in it. Well, that is what happened to me. Although they did an incredible job with making this burger I thought I can add some Healthy Is Sexy magic to this already great burger.

Here is what you will need:

  1. Beyond Beef

  2. 1 Med Onion

  3. 2 Habanero Peppers

  4. Tablespoon of Garlic

  5. Half a Cup of Almond Flour

  6. Hummus

  7. Lettuce

  8. Tomato

  9. Cheese by Daiya

The very first thing I do is cook the onions, peppers, habaneros, and garlic after you dice then into small cuts. (Now please note, this is all I had left in the fridge. I would have added a bell pepper also if I had it handy and you can add whatever you'd like to this.)

Cook the onions, peppers, habanero, and garlic halfway thru. Let it cool.

Then add them to your mixture to your beyond beef. Add your seasonings and Almond Flour.

Now mix everything together. You can use your hands or a wooden spoon like I did. While you are mixing be sure to heat some oil in a pan.

Form your burgers into burger shapes and cook on each side for about 10 mins each or until golden slash almost burnt if you like them well done!

For cheese, I used dairy-free Daiya cheddar cheese. I also used hummus for my spread like I would Mayo.
